The Look

Get Tickets   The Look is an American rock band based in Detroit Michigan formed in 1977. The music they play incorporates elements of Pop, Rock, Country and Blues. The original band recorded 3 international albums, "We're Gonna Rock", (1981), "Look Again", (1982) and "Everybody's Acting ", (1984). They toured all over the US and Canada, and have opened for more than 50 of music's biggest acts, people like Paul Rodgers, Joe Cocker, Cheap Trick, Jefferson Starship and the J Geils Band and many more. The Look are a great live band but are also credited with being the first band from Detroit with videos on MTV. They were inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame in 2015 and are still being led in 2022 by original lead singer, songwriter and guitarist Dave Edwards, who is a 14 time Detroit Music Award Nominee. Buy Tickets Barbara Payton is a sultry, Detroit rock singer/songwriter with a soulful, bluesy voice. Recognized as one of Detroit’s most powerful and engaging live performers, Barbara Payton has rocked stages, festivals, arenas and private listening rooms for more than 25 years. In addition to her solo career, Barbara has toured as a background singer for both Bob Seger and Kid Rock. Kris Kurzawa’s versatility has led him to become one of Detroit area’s most in demand guitarists since the early 2000’s; crossing multiple genres including jazz, fusion, rock, world music and R+B. He released his first album ‘Sly’ in 2016 earning him his fifth Detroit Music Award. He earned his bachelors degree in 2003 and his masters degree in 2012 with a concentration in jazz studies from Wayne State University.
